On the 3rd of June, Professor Wolffgang took part in an international congress organized by Universidade Católica Portuguesa and the Institute of Customs and International Trade Law (Universität Münster). The event, which dealt with Protectionism and Customs Reforms, was held online.

Alongside other international experts, Professor Wolffgang coordinated the congress, delivered the opening remarks and moderated the panel on tariff and trade policy. A second panel addressed EU customs reform in the emerging global context.

The discussions highlighted the importance of informed and evidence-based dialogue in shaping the future of customs and trade policy. In a time of growing protectionist pressures and evolving global trade dynamics, collaboration and clarity are more vital than ever.
